I'm back from the coast to coast

I wanted to let you know why I have not posted for a while so as you can see from the photo I look set for a journey. Infact it was the longest sustained hike I have ever done, two weeks on the coast to coast across the North of England from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood's Bay in Yorkshire, that's Irish Sea to North Sea. It was an incredible journey of a lifetime and I was with my DH and we were leading a group of Americans all the way. We set off on Monday 12th Sept and reached the end on Sunday 25th. I have to admit that I resisted the temptation to take a needle and thread with me, I had enough to do.......
At last, the chance to do the coast to coast

Well done :o)

You came very close to our house then. We often get troupes(?) of cyclists ending up at our back door because they missed the sharp right turn up through the park.

Have seriously thought of doing teas and bacon sandwiches!
:o)

What a good idea, we did stop at 2 remote places and partake of tea and nibbles but that was in Yorkshire. The Americans loved the tea stop at Muker with some serious scoffing of cakes...

Yikes--------I couldn't have been thinking straight when I left that comment!!!!!!
I was looking at you at St Bees and thinking of cycling the route not walking it---not sure why except that we see the cyclists every day!
Serious mileage by foot!

Yes it was 190 miles, and I reckon I eat for England....I really needed the fuel, breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner! I have never eaten so much food and surprisingly did not put on any weight.
